§ LORD FREDERICK CAVENDISHThe Government will be prepared to refund the duty in all cases in which such vegetable substances are still in charge, after the duty has been paid thereon. But where the duty has been paid, and the goods have been delivered for home consumption, Her Majesty's Government must adhere to their invariable practice of not making repayment.
