HC Deb 01 May 1882 vol 268 c1840
MR. THOROLD ROGERS

asked the First Lord of the Treasury, Whether, having regard to the fact that the Statutes for the University of Oxford were not ordered to be printed until March 3rd, and not distributed to Members till March 27th, and the Act gives twelve weeks during which this House may address the Crown, he will afford this House an opportunity for criticising those statutes on which its judgment is invited by the Act in question?

MR. GLADSTONE,

in reply, said, he was afraid he could not find time for the discussion of these statutes in the interval between the 27th of March and the 21st of May.
