asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, If he will state the greatest total number of persons confined at any one time under Acts for the Suspension of Habeas Corpus in Ireland, in the years from 1848 to 1882?

, in reply, said, that the Returns were only made up to 1866, and that the greatest number from 1848 to 1866 was 669.
