§ Clause 1 (Short title).
§ MR. WHITLEYsaid, he understood that the principal object of this Bill was to give the right of voting in regard to municipal matters to women. He wished to know if that was the only object of the Bill?
DR. CAMERONstated that women who were householders had a right conferred upon them, by an Act passed last Session, to vote at municipal elections in Royal and Parliamentary burghs in Scotland; and the object of the present Bill was to give them the same right in police burghs.
