DILKESir, Her Majesty's Minister in Morocco reported in December and January that information had reached him that a French force had entered the district of Figuig, in the Empire of Morocco, and, after engaging in hostilities with the Arab tribes there, had retired into Algeria. The fact was, however, denied by the French Government, who were questioned on the subject by Her Majesty's Ambassador in Paris, and has not been confirmed.
