asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, Whether John O'Callaghan, of Ballynahinch, county Clare, was arrested, together with two others, on a charge of riot and assault on 23rd June, 1881; whether the two others have been released; whether the district is quite peaceable; and, whether the Lord Lieutenant cannot now order O'Callaghan's release?
