HC Deb 15 June 1882 vol 270 cc1247-8
MR. MARUM

asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, Whether he will favourably consider the case of James Banon, a suspect in Kilmainham Gaol, with a view to his release, who has a large family dependent upon him, and 60 acres of land, without any person to attend to the same during his incarceration, now extending to nearly three months' duration?

MR.TREVELYAN

Sir, James Banon was arrested on the 11th of April last, and has, therefore, been little more than two months in custody. His Excellency yesterday reconsidered his case, and decided that he cannot at present order his release.
