HC Deb 13 June 1882 vol 270 cc983-4

asked the President of the Board of Trade, Whether it is a fact that the United States Government are at present engaged in revising their Passenger Acts; and, whether he has any objection to lay upon the Table a Copy of the proposed Bill, together with any Reports made by the Board of Trade thereon?

in reply, said, that there were at present two Bills dealing with this subject before the House of Representatives in the United States, and if they were passed ho would consider whether it was desirable to make a Report on the subject.
