HC Deb 27 July 1882 vol 272 c2115

Order for Committee read.

Motion made, and Question proposed, "That the Committee be deferred till Monday next."

MR. ONSLOW

deprecated the action of the Government on this Bill. He had understood that the Bill was to be one of the discharged Orders, and he must call upon the Government to keep then-pledges made in the face of the House. If the Government did not agree to discharge the Order, he would move that it be discharged.

THE ATTORNEY GENERAL (Sir HENRY JAMES)

said, as soon as the Continuance Bill came in, this Order would be discharged.

Motion agreed to.

Committee deferred till Monday next.
