asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, Whether he will order a sworn investigation into the charges made against Mr. Flynn, returning officer of the Stokestown Union, county Roscommon, in connection with the late election for a guardian of the poor in the electoral division of Ballygarden?

The question of ordering an inquiry as to the validity of the return made by the Returning Officer at the late election of a Guardian for the electoral division of Ballygarden in the Stokestown Union is under the consideration of the Local Government Board, and they are in communication with the complainant on the subject.
