HC Deb 10 July 1882 vol 271 c1957
MR. SEXTON

asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, Whether there is any foundation for the report, now current in the Irish Press, that the Government have resolved upon the employment of bloodhounds for the detection of crime in Ireland?

MR. TREVELYAN

The Government have no intention of the sort—never had such an intention—and never entertained the idea of it.
