§ MR. BIGGAR
asked Mr. Attorney General for Ireland, Whether the sub-inspector against whom a coroner's jury at Belmullet, county Mayo, have found 1837 a verdict of murder has been suspended; and, whether the sub-inspector will be allowed to hold his position in the police with such a charge hanging over him?
§ THE ATTORNEY GENERAL FOR IRELAND (Mr. W. M. JOHNSON)
The Sub-Inspector has been, removed from that district, but not suspended. The course to be ultimately taken must depend on further proceedings, if I shall direct them, as I mentioned last night.
