EARL PERCYasked the Secretary of State for War, Whether he can make any allowance to officers of Militia to enable them to meet the expense consequent upon the assimilation of their uniform to that of the Line, in accordance with the hope he expressed last Session that he should be able to do so?
§ MR. CHILDERSYes; we have arranged to make an allowance of £25 to Militia officers whose regiments have been converted into Rifles from ordinary Infantry, and vice versâ; and I hope that this will be quite satisfactory.
