HC Deb 15 August 1882 vol 273 c1835
MR. CRAIG

asked the First Lord of the Treasury, Whether it is the intention of Her Majesty's Government to reintroduce the Ballot Act Continuance and Amendment Bill next Session; and, if so, whether he will meet what is believed to be a very general desire on the part of electors, by extending the application of the Bill to elections for Local Boards and Town Improvement Commissioners?

SIR CHARLES W. DILKE

In reply to the hon. Member, I may state that it is the intention of Her Majesty's Government to reintroduce this Bill next Session. It is impossible to apply the present form of ballot to elections at which there is plural voting.
