HC Deb 04 April 1882 vol 268 c663
SIR HENRY HOLLAND

asked the Under Secretary of State for the Colonies, Whether it is still proposed to bring the ex-Zulu King, Cetywayo, to England, and by whom the expenses of the journey are to be borne, whether by the ratepayers of the Cape Colony or of this Country?

MR.COURTNEY

Sir, Her Majesty's Government have not relinquished the intention of bringing Cetywayo over to this country; but the arrangements are not completed, and no time has yet been fixed for his departure from the Cape. The expenses will be paid by this country.
