Sir, the re-organization of the Register House Departments, and the future position and emoluments of the existing staff, has been now settled by a Treasury Minute, which received the consent of the Home Secretary, as required by the Lord Clerk Register Act of 1879, on the 13th instant. Directions have been issued for giving immediate effect to the scheme as from April 1 last. The Minutes will forthwith be laid before Parliament under the 11th section of the Act.
