HC Deb 29 March 1881 vol 260 c158
MR. WARTON

asked the right hon. Member for Montrose to say after what hour the Entail (Scotland) Bill would be brought on?

MR. BAXTER

replied, that no one opposed the Bill except the hon. and learned Member for Bridport; and as the hon. and learned Gentleman, not very courteously, had declined to listen to a private explanation of the nature of the Bill, and of the reasons why noble Lords and hon. Gentlemen on both sides had asked him to introduce the Bill, he had merely to state that he should bring on the measure whenever he could.

MR. WARTON

I must say, Sir—["Order!"]—in Parliamentary language, that what has been stated by the right hon. Gentleman is not correct.
