§ MR. E. W. HARCOURTsaid, that if he was not able before 10 o'clock that night to bring on his Motion in reference to the maintenance of main roads, the Government had promised him the first day after Easter for that purpose.
MR. GLADSTONEThe Government cannot possibly give the first day after Easter. The hon. Member will remember that that day is already heavily mortgaged.
