§ LORD FREDERICK CAVENDISHSir, the reduction will cause a diminution in the staff of officers from seven to four, and a consequent decrease in the expense of the establishment of from £275 to £440 a-year. In addition to this, some farther saving will accrue on account of minor expenses incidental to the business and management of an independent force which cannot be accurately estimated.
