THE MARQUESS OF HARTINGTONSir, the Papers are in preparation for presentation to Parliament; but in order that the House may be placed in possession of the whole case in its complete and final form, it is proposed to include among the Papers the despatch to the Government of India authorizing a new and favourable scale of pensions. This, it is hoped, will be sent out in a fortnight at latest. Immediately its provisions are approved by the Indian Council they will be notified in England.
