§ MR. W. H. SMITHasked the Secretary to the Admiralty, If it is intended to extend to the non-commissioned officers and other ranks in the Royal Marines corresponding advantages in pay and pension to those now proposed to be granted to the Army?
§ MR. TREVELYANIn answer, Sir, to the Question of the right hon. Gentleman, I have to say that the Board of Admiralty, now that they have the scheme of the Secretary of State for War before them for reference and comparison, I do not say for guidance, will at once come to the consideration of the questions relating to the Corps of Royal Marines. There is no need for appointing any more Committees to inquire. The Board has information enough before it to approach the matter with a view to a prompt and practical decision.
