ASSHETON CROSSasked the Lord Advocate, Whether the scheme for the improved remuneration of the Commisioned Clerks in the Office of Sasines in Edinburgh has yet been adjusted; and, whether it will take effect from the beginning of the next financial year? He would not have troubled the right hon. and learned Lord Advocate on the subject if the Civil Service Estimates had not been laid on the Table without any provision for that Vote.
§ THE LORD ADVOCATE (Mr. J. M'LAREN)said, he should be glad if the right hon. Gentleman would put his Question any day next week, and he should then endeavour to give it a definite answer. He had not yet been able to obtain the information that was asked.
