asked the Secretary of State for War, Whether any Roman Catholic Chaplains have been attached to the forces now operating in the Transvaal?

MR. CHILDERS

Yes, Sir; one Roman Catholic chaplain was sent out in January, and another has been placed under orders to proceed at once. In addition to this there are local Roman Catholic clergymen whose services are made available for the troops.
