HC Deb 30 June 1881 vol 262 cc1639-40
MR. ERNEST NOEL

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, Whether the Government are prepared to introduce a measure to repeal or amend the Solway Fisheries Act, so as to put the inhabitants of Dumfries and Galloway on the same footing as the inhabitants of the rest of Scotland as regards the right to fish with rod and line in the rivers and streams for trout and other freshwater fish, not of the salmon kind?

SIR WILLIAM HARCOURT

A Bill is prepared on the subject, and I hope it will be introduced in the House of Lords.
