HC Deb 20 June 1881 vol 262 c838
MR. LEWIS

asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, Whether it is the fact that out of the one hundred and twenty-one ejectment decrees granted at the Easter Sessions 1881 for non-payment of rent in the county of Derry only twelve have been followed by execution; whether, of such twelve, there were four which were not agricultural holdings; and, whether, out of the remaining eight, three of the tenants were re-admitted by the Sheriff upon signing fresh attornments to the landlords, being but five out of the one hundred and twenty-one as actually evicted, or to arrange personally with the landlord?

MR. W. E. FORSTER,

in reply, said, that the statements in the Question were substantially accurate.
