May I ask the Home Secretary, Whether he can give any information as to the reported attempt to rescue the prisoners who are arrested for being concerned in the outrage at Liverpool?

, in reply, said, he had received a letter that morning from the Mayor of Liverpool, and was in communication with him on the subject of the attempted rescue. The Mayor told him in his letter that he had no fresh facts to communicate at present. The letter was dated on Saturday.
