HC Deb 13 June 1881 vol 262 c357
SIR MICHAEL HICKS-BEACH

asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, If he will lay upon the Table a Paper, in the form of a Return or otherwise, showing the number and character of the injuries sustained by the Police and Military in Ireland within the past six months?

MR. W. E. FORSTER

, in reply, said, it would be difficult to obtain such a Return, but he would have no objection to granting it; indeed, he should be glad to do so, principally because he thought the idea respecting the injuries in question amongst the general public was very much exaggerated.
