asked The Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, Whether, in the case of persons arrested under the Coercion Acts, their return travelling expenses have been paid when discharged from prison at a distance from their homes; if not, whether he will arrange about this in future?

, in reply, said, that the Protection of Person and Property Act provided that travelling expenses should be paid in the case of those prisoners who were discharged at a distance of more than five miles from their homes. If the hon. Member knew of any such cases in which The proper expenses had not been allowed, he should be glad to have information on The point.
