ASSHETON CROSSasked the First Lord of the Treasury, Whether, 1937 having regard to the extreme importance of the Criminal Code Bill introduced by the late Attorney General, and to the labours of the Royal Commission (presided over by Lord Blackburn), on which it was founded, and having regard also to the practical difficulty of dealing with so large a subject in one single Session, the Government will take into consideration the expediency of dealing with the subject from time to time by sections; and also the expediency of further revision of some part of the Code during the Recess with a view to immediate action, so that the success of this undertaking may be insured without unreasonable delay?
