O'CONNORasked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, Whether his attention has been called to statements in the Irish Press to the effect that a large number of magistrates in Ireland are in the habit of refusing bail in bailable cases; and if not, whether ho will inquire into the accuracy of that statement, and take means to prevent the practice should the statement prove to be well founded?
