§ LORD RANDOLPH CHURCHILLasked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, Whether the Report of the Endowed Schools Commissioners (Ireland) has yet been presented to the Lord Lieutenant; if so, whether that Report contains full information on the management and condition of the large landed estates belonging to Irish Educational Endowments, together with a special Report on those estates by Mr. James Murphy, one of the Inspectors of the Board of Works; and, whether he would give directions for the printing of the Commissioners' Report to be expedited in order that it may be presented to Parliament, if possible, before the introduction of the Government Land Bill?
§ MR. W. E. FORSTER,in reply, said, that the Report of the Endowed Schools Commissioners for Ireland had not yet been presented to the Lord Lieutenant. The Report might be ready on March 1. He had no means of knowing whether the information alluded to in the Question with regard to the management of the estates of the Endowed Schools was or was not included in the Report. The noble Lord himself being one of the Commissioners, doubtless knew whether that information would be contained in the Report or not. When the Report should have been laid before the Lord Lieutenant it would be placed on the Table of the House without delay; but at present the matter lay altogether with the Commissioners themselves.
