HC Deb 14 February 1881 vol 258 cc759-60

Order for Second Beading read.

Motion made, and Question proposed, "That the Bill be now read a second time."—(Sir Charles Forster.)

LORD RANDOLPH CHURCHILL

said, he understood that the promoters of the Pill unconditionally withdrew the 17th clause, which contained the provision by which they thought to set aside the 92nd section of the Land Clauses Consolidation Act. That clause being unconditionally withdrawn, he should not press his opposition to the Bill, but would withdraw the Motion, which he had placed upon the Paper.

Question put, and agreed to.

Bill read a second time, and committed.
