CHILDERSSir, in reply to my noble Friend, I have to say that General Primrose has submitted a statement in vindication of his conduct at 494 Candahar, which has been forwarded to the Government of India, under whose orders his removal from his divisional command took place. Correspondence of this character is always regarded as confidential, and I regret that I cannot undertake to lay it on the Table of the House.
