HC Deb 08 February 1881 vol 258 c352
MR. MACDONALD

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, Whether he had received any official account with respect to the loss of life in consequence of the colliery explosion at Whitfield?

SIR WILLIAM HARCOURT

No; but I have heard that the Inspector of Mines is in London, and I hope, in the course of a short time, to be able to give the hon. Gentleman the information for which he asks.
