HC Deb 22 August 1881 vol 265 c627
MR. ASHMEAD-BARTLETT

wished to ask the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Whether, in view of the negotiations going on between Russian and Persian officials, and of the interest which the Government has always shown in the question of the Frontiers of Persia, the Government will not at once take steps to insist upon Delimitation Commissioners being appointed, that the Government may know what is going on?

SIR CHARLES W. DILKE

, in reply, said, he had already stated that the Government had been informed that there would be a Delimitation Commission, which would sit in January; but the question whether application should be made for a British officer to be permitted to attend it was under consideration.
