MR. J. COWENasked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, Whether a further Return of agrarian outrages would be published during the Recess; and whether a Return would also be made public of persons arrested under the Coercion Act?
§ MR. W. E. FORSTER, in reply, said, the Returns of persons arrested under the Coercion Act would be published in The Gazette every month. As to agrarian outrages, he would see if a Return could be published of them; but he would not enter into a positive undertaking in regard to that matter.
§ In reply to Mr. HEALY,
§ MR. W. E. FORSTERsaid, that the Act required the names of the persons put into prison to be laid before the House or published in The Gazette within the first seven days of every month. He believed that the terms of the Act had been strictly complied with.
