§ MAJOR NOLANasked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, If he would lay upon the Table a Return of those towns in Ireland administered by Town Commissioners in which the Tolls on Customs are the property of a private individual; and, if he would place in the Return Copies of the patents or other documents by which such tolls are held as private property, and would insert as far as practicable a statement of the contributions of such proprietors to the lighting and cleansing of the towns?
§ MR. W. E. FORSTERreferred the hon. and gallant Member to a printed Report of the Commissioners appointed to inquire into the regulation of these matters, in which he would find most of the information he sought.
§ MAJOR NOLANsaid, that when he had read the Report he should have further Questions to ask on the subject.
