Member refers was not received from Mr. Kirby Green, to whose Reports, however, both Her Majesty's late and present Governments have attached great value, but from officers who have visited the country in question, and derived their information from statistics gathered on the spot. With regard to the second portion of the hon. Member's Question, I cannot state in detail what is the course that is being taken by the Powers at the present time.
