HC Deb 01 April 1881 vol 260 c494
SIR STAFFORD NORTHCOTE

inquired, in the event of the House being able to go into Supply, whether it was the intention of the Government to take as much of the evening as they could for Supply; or, whether they meant to stop the Committee of Supply at any hour in the course of the evening, in order to take any of the Bills on the Paper?

MR. GLADSTONE,

in reply, said, the Government would confine themselves to Supply.
