§ MR. RYLANDSasked the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, If it is the intention of Her Majesty's Government to transfer the administra 233 tion of Cyprus from the Foreign Office to the Colonial Office, in accordance with the views expressed by Earl Granville on 21st March 1879?
§ SIR CHARLES W. DILKEThe Government have decided that a transfer of the administration of Cyprus shall be made from the Foreign to the Colonial Office; but there are some questions pending which had better be treated by the Foreign Office before the transfer is finally made. My noble Friend the Secretary of State hopes that the transfer may be accomplished before October, when the Estimates have to be prepared.
