§ THE SOLICITOR GENERAL (Sir FARRER HERSCHELL), in reply, said, that the hon. and gallant Gentleman would at once understand that it was not now in his power to introduce a Bill amending the law in this respect unless it be one determined upon by Her Majesty's Government; and he was not aware that the subject to which the Question referred had been at all under their consideration. He did not think, with the pressing matters occupying their attention, any Bill on the subject would be introduced this Session.
