§ COLONEL COLTHURSTasked the Chief Secretary for Ireland, Whether any representation has been made to the Local Government Board relative to the refusal of the board of guardians of Castletown-Berehaven to put the Seed Potato Act in force; and, if so, what steps will be taken by the Local Government Board to carry out the provisions of the said Act?
§ MR. J. LOWTHERSir, the Guardians of Castletown-Berehaven and of a few other Unions having signified their intention of not putting the provisions of the Seeds Act in force, the Local Government Board has issued an Order requesting them to carry out the Act, and I am happy to say that they have complied with that Order.
