HC Deb 01 March 1880 vol 251 cc27-8
MR. FAWCETT

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, If he can inform the House when the Bill relating to the Water Supply of London will be introduced?

MR. ASSHETON CROSS

Until today I should have been unable to answer the Question of the hon. Member for Hackney. I beg to state that I am now in a position to introduce the Bill, and I think it right that I should ask leave to do so to-morrow evening. Although the matter may not be reached till late, I think it desirable that I should make a statement, but it will be comparatively short, and the Bill will be in the hands of Members on Wednesday morning.
