Mr. SPEAKER informed the House, that he had received from Lord Chief Justice Coleridge and Mr. Justice Grove, two of the Judges selected, in pursuance of the Parliamentary Elections Act, 1868, for the trial of Election Petitions, a Report relating to the Election for the Borough of Stroud.

We have the honour to report to you that the Petition against the Return for the Borough of Stroud has been withdrawn by leave of the Court. We have the honour further to report that the withdrawal of the Petition was not in our opinion the result of any corrupt arrangement or in consideration of the withdrawal of any other Petition.
