MR. GRANT DUFFSir, the Colonial Budget for the current year shows that the total war expenditure paid by the Government of the Cape of Good Hope to March, 1880, has been as follows:—Raised by loan, £750,000; from current revenue, £715,000; total, £1,465,000. Further estimated payments expected to be brought to account to June 30, the end of the financial year, £20,000; total, £1,485,757.
