HC Deb 03 June 1880 vol 252 cc1071-2
MR. DAVEY

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, Whether the attention of the Government has been directed to the Report of the Royal Commission on Unreformed Corporations, with a view to legislation, for the purpose of carrying out the recommendations of that Report?

SIR WILLIAM HARCOURT,

in reply, said, that the attention of the Government had been so directed; but his hon. Friend would see that it would be impossible to introduce a measure on the subject this Session, although he hoped it might be dealt with on some future occasion.
