§ MR. A. M. SULLIVANasked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, If, considering the inability this year of the parents of children attending national schools in the districts in Ireland to contribute as in better years the proportion of school fees required in order to entitle the teachers to results fees, and the consequent total loss of such reward to the teacher, though otherwise fully earned by him, the Education Board will take into consideration the advisability of some temporary modification of the rules, so as to remedy for the current year such loss?
§ MR. W. E. FORSTERSir, this matter has had the attention of the Irish Government, and in consequence of their representations theTreasury have decided for the year ending the 31st of March, 1881, results fees shall be paid in schools in scheduled Unions to the extent of half of the full amount, irrespective of the local contributions.
