HC Deb 05 July 1880 vol 253 c1639
SIR STAFFORD NORTHCOTE

asked what Business would be taken at the Morning Sitting to-morrow?

MR. GLADSTONE

said that, assuming the House divided that evening on the discussion which was the first Order, the Government proposed to go on with the Employers' Liability Bill to-morrow.

MR. J. G. HUBBARD

asked, Whether the Savings Banks Bill would be resumed that evening, or when it would receive the consideration of the House?

MR. GLADSTONE

said, he had no doubt the Compensation for Disturbance (Ireland) Bill would occupy the attention of the House all the evening. For the convenience of Members, both of the House and the trade, he might say that he proposed to pass the Customs and Inland Revenue Bill through Committee pro formâ,on the assumption that the Notices on the Paper with reference to it would pass over until the time when a real vote was to be taken in the matter.
