asked Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer, When he proposes to move for the Committee which he promised on the 11th August 1879, To consider the subject of local loans generally, and to go into other matters bearing upon the subject, such as the granting greater facilities to local authorities for obtaining loans?

in reply, said, he intended to make the Motion shortly; but he had not been able to do it yet owing to the pressure of other Business.
