asked the First Lord of the Admiralty, Whether the Colonial Allowance payable to officers of the Navy and Marines serving on shore in South Africa will soon be granted and paid?

Sir, arrangements have been made for placing the officers of the Navy and Marines upon the same footing as the officers of the Army.
